It is a great pleasure for me to recommend Ella. I was extremely impressed with Ella’s skills as the junior designer on our creative services team. She was a tremendous contributor to our team, crafting process documents to help us run more smoothly, while being proactive about collaborating with our internal and external partners. Ella was consistently accountable to deadlines and skilled at working independently, often keeping multiple high priority projects moving at once and managing the communications. Working as part of our group it was essential for Ella to be capable of interacting with many different departments on a wide range of projects on a regular basis. Her attention to detail and organization was often noted at meetings, as was her level of talent, dedication to quality, and ability to jump through numerous hoops amid tight deadlines, all with a sense of humor. She was a very quick learner who never backed away from a challenge, was thoughtful in her approach to pitching new ideas, and finding creative solutions to old problems.
Ella is an impressive, reliable, consistent, and talented employee who supports her colleagues, takes initiative, and is an absolute pleasure to work with. While the team and I would love nothing more than to have Ella here, we have had to bid her farewell due to circumstances out of our control. She is the kind of employee I would hire again without hesitation, and although we’ll continue to miss having her as part of this team, I am confident she would make an incredible addition to any creative team.
Ella is a talented designer who combines great artistry with an aptitude for organization and putting systems in place. She is a go-getter, who doesn't wait to be asked before she comes up with the next great solution. On top of it all, she has a terrific attitude and is a real team player.
When Ella joined our design team, my first thought was how long would it take her to get fully up to speed? It’s the question any PM would ask themself. The answer? Not friggin’ long! During that first week or two, I would send her something to do and temper the internal client’s expectation about turnaround time. In each instance, I had to turn around to that same client and send them a completed draft back in half the time. Occasionally something needed to be tweaked, most often because Ella hadn’t been privy to an earlier discussion. And when she was asked to address those changes, she always performed the task quickly, accurately, and with the friendliest of attitudes.
Recently we transitioned to a new creative project management platform, and as overwhelming as the process was, Ella was a fantastic resource. She not only tackled the work that was assigned to her, she also clearly did a deep dive into all of the tool’s functionality and made very helpful suggestions for how set things up properly. Our team’s workflow improved greatly as a result.
If Ella’s name comes across your desk, I implore you to give her a call, and some serious consideration. She is great at her work, a fountain of curiosity and creativity, and would be a strong addition to your design team.
I worked with Ella on several production projects and always felt that I was in good hands. Ella is smart and very organized and always knew the status of my projects. She has great follow through and was a pleasure to work with. I think Ella has a bright future and would be an asset for any company.
In her time at Bright Horizons, Ella was tasked with managing the production aspect of the internal creative agency. Not only did she take over the responsibility with a positive attitude but she created a new, streamlined system that improved the overall production process. In the time I’ve worked with Ella I’ve seen her go the extra mile time and time again. I can only imagine all she will accomplish in her future career. The sky is the limit for Ella.
Ella was one of the graphic designers I worked with at Bright Horizons. She is detail oriented, timely, and produced artwork efficiently and at a high level. Ella is extremely skilled a what she does and knows how to play up her strengths. I have commissioned Ella numerous times, personally, as her graphic art is so unique and eye catching. Any company that hires her will be blown away by her professionalism and creativity.
I supervised Ella as an Eco-Rep where she demonstrated passion, leadership, and dedication to advancing sustainability at UVM by modeling and encouraging environmentally responsible behaviors among peers through her formal roles and affiliations on campus as well as in her daily life.
Ella was the Eco-Reps Design Manager and used her skills to get help broadcast Eco-Reps messaging. She designed posters, pamphlets, stickers, and pins. Years later, her stickers still cover laptops, coffee mugs and water bottles all over campus. She’s also developed our Guide to Green Living, Zero Waste Guide and Local Shopping Guide, resources that help students better understand the individual actions they can take to lessen their impact on the planet. These have inspired similar publications from other campuses.
Ella is a confident leader who has inspired other Eco-Reps in the program, including those she supervised in her role. She sees through Band-Aid fixes and doesn’t shy away from messy issues. Her strong moral compass steers her through complexity with grace. Ella is tuned into social justice issues and brings this lens to all of her work. She designed and moderated an environmental justice panel during UVM’s Earth Week in 2017 to highlight this too-easily overlooked component of true sustainability.
I loved working with Ella. She is someone you want on your team!
